Crisis Averted

Thank you to all of you who have been worried about our lack of camera! I have had several offers to let us borrow one for the first day of school!

Kydon was all for making the most of our warranty and replacing the old one, and I was all for just buying a new one. An end-of-summer miracle occured, and we were able to reach a compromise:
  • We will buy a new one- NOT a coolpix- and have it up and running and ready for the first day of school.
  • We will also take the old one to get fixed or replaced, and have an extra camera for a while until it finally dies without warranty coverage.

We bought the new one tonight, and it is in process of charging the battery, so all is well.

In the meantime, if you want to see a few pics of the kids, you can head over to my sister Melinda's blog, since everything we have done this week was done with her, and she not only took pictures, but also posted them!

I'm glad to hear you will be able to take pictures for the first day. I can't wait to see them!
And you could always eBay your new (replaced) Coolpix to offset the cost of your new camera :)

sooo.... what kind of camera did you get? And I wholeheartedly agree with erika above.

We got an Olympus- supposedly able to withstand water, drops, heat, etc. Hopefully it will hold up for a while! :) Good idea about Ebay- although I might feel guilty about passing it along!
