How did you get roped into doing stuff like that? Leprechauns didn't come to my house when I was a kid. Our only worry was to make sure you wear green or daddy will finally have an excuse to pinch you. Every few years my mom would bake with green food dye and we would all refuse to eat it. I think when we do have kids, I'll just keep it simple and tell them Leprechauns only live in Ireland.

The problem isn't wanting to do it--it is when your kids tell you year after year that everyone else has leprechauns that visit their houses and they don't know why none will come to their own house and how fun it would be if only.... then you figure it isn't that much work for your kids to have a little fun. At least that is how it worked for me.

Yep, Melinda is absolutely right! And my kids never heard of leprechauns until they had to build leprechaun traps for school.

Yep, the really sad kids. They make you do things you never thought you would! :)
